I'm brain fried from doing my index sheet for HCM.
So I'm here. Over the past one and the half days, while doing my index sheet, I've given my iTunes free reign. I usually skip the songs that I don't feel like hearing, and thus, usually end up only listening to a handful of my entire music library. However, deciding not to press the 'Next' key has indeed paid off. I've heard and rediscovered so many nice songs in my playlist that I've neglected for a long time.
One of the few songs that struck me was Billy Joel's 'And So It Goes'. I remember it was the song I learnt during my short spell in TPJC choir. What amazed me the most was how simply the lyrics and the accompaniment was simple, but yet, the final product is one that is so meaningful and hard-hitting. Old favourites, lost tunes, and even listening to certain songs for the first time ever. The Prince of Egypt, Richard Marx and even Linkin Park songs, the genres are so different, yet being able to appreciate each on its own is nice.
Maybe I should stop hitting the 'Next' button on my iPhone as well. Hm.
