I remember my JC class gathering on Monday. It was the start of break week, and we were all chilling at Wala and looking forward to a break that meant work, but also gave us the opportunity to slack a little.
It's Saturday now, break week's gone. I'm finishing my wretched book review. I wasted 2 days reading a pathetic book titled "Things Fall Apart". After a while, I got confused with all the African names, confused with all the African dishes and got annoyed that the lead character killed himself. After making me read that painstaking book, the prick conveniently hangs himself and leaves me to face the book review alone. Thanks for being an ass Okonkwo.
So the week went by. MC meeting, BGS meeting and CT meeting all sardine-d into Thursday while Social Science Camp meeting was the wrap up on Friday. Oh yes, I'm doing Progs for the camp. I like the Harry Potter theme, it's a vast universe and if anything, I'm well-versed with that universe to concoct activities to fit the theme. But now that I'm in the orgcomm, I've this terrible feeling that I've to break my no-meetings-during-the-weekends rule. Yes, depressing, but I think it'll be a good process with lots of learning and fun.
Friday night with the Lohs and Sandrine. Dinner at Charly-Ts was quite decent. I didn't like their macheese though, the one at Overeasy is still better. Chicken was really good, the meat wasn't really tender but it was okay, and salmon was just salmon. Garlic rice was pretty good too! No Strings Attached was lighthearted and funny. It was amusing how deadly silent the theatre was during the sex scenes. As in REALLY quiet. Like no one was breathing or anything, I think my popcorn chewing was considered as noise pollution during those scenes.
So the US plans are going on. Still in planning stage. I was bent on seizing the SIA promo to SF, but for some odd reason the promo doesn't apply on 29th April. So I'm probably gonna switch to Cathay instead and fly there on the 28th, and I'll nicely reach there on the night of 28th to crash and wake up to the weekend. It doesn't hurt that Cathay is $400 cheaper than SIA. Texas soon after with the Changs, and then the glitz of the Vegas strip. Road trip down to SF once more to wrap up and then it'll be home. Now, that's a lot of planning, booking, packing, paying and spending. POSB's gonna bleed and mum's gonna scream. (:
Hello weekend. And because it'll go by in a flash, goodbye to you too.
