Fossil watch. Air tickets to Germany. Air tickets to Texas. 21 cupcakes.
That was pretty much what I got on my birthday itself!
At midnight it was with the boys @ Timbre. Wonderful time just catching up. Though it must be amazing to realise that the last time we did this was a year ago! Haha, we should make this a monthly guys night out thing, simply to catch up and just know what's going on in each other's life. How time has flown by since secondary 3... The white uniform and crimson badge has been laid to rest but yet this wonderful bond amongst us lives on. Prior to my days in VS, I've always driven past the grandstand at Geylang Bahru that screamed 'Victoria, Thy Sons Are We'. Years later, here I am, with this band of brothers and yes, thy sons are we and we will not forget.
A quick rendezvous to Suntec to change the Fossil watch as the first one swallowed my wrist up. Met Kat and tried frozen yogurt for the first time. It went well with the nuts topping I daresay. Then to church for combined choir practice. Then the big surprise. 21 colourful cupcakes on a tray and it was to be my birthday 'cake(s)'! I kinda suspected something from all the commotion, but 21 cupcakes was something that I never expected!
Dinner at Sin Hoi Sai followed by drinks at Crown Plaza. Pool, 5-10, animal games. It was a good night, and one to remember for a very long time.
21. Goodbye to the cradle of youth, and welcome to the pains of adulthood. The world is no longer the garden it was, and is now the vicious concrete jungle. The pressures of the paper chase, the issue of money, the inevitable natural wonder of ageing. Time never stopped, and neither would these changes.
Disney is long past now, but to quote Aladdin... A Whole New World.
