It was really a good Friday. Well, in catholic terms technically it's Assumption, but nevermind, I'll just call it Good Friday since it was really good. Work wasn't that bad, just that the course nominal rolls kinda screwed up and I had to settle it. No joke when you're staring at 180 names and trying to find the 1 or 2 that shouldn't belong there. Half day leave was followed by mass at the SMU Cathedral. Good Shephard I think? Haha, I'll just refer to it as SMU Cathedral luh.

It's been a long long time since I attended mass at a non-aircon church. If I recall correctly, the last one would have been Novena, and that itself was at least a year and the half ago. Not to mention that Novena was alot more cooling and the Saturday evening cool was a good substitute when compared to the hot sun this afternoon. I was melting during mass, it didn't help that I was slowly dozing off as well. But somehow, the rather 'classic' (for the lack of words) look of the church gave a very cozy feeling. As much as modern churches such as St Mary's and HFC are comfortable and pleasing, the look of SMU cathedral was just a nice throwback to the old HFC. The same exact crowds standing around, the cars parked around church, the sound of fan blades spinning furiously to please the crowd. It brought back memories of me running around church as a little boy, conveniently zipping between cars parked on the church compounds. Good times I daresay.

Kalm's at Raffles City, where I was in the same shop as dear Zhi Rong, and yet we didn't see each other. Jasons soon after, before returning home. Table tennis was a joy to watch. Though a public holiday to commemorate the nation's first medal in decades would just add more joy to the occasion. C'mon.... 1 day only.... PLEASE! (:
