It's been almost a month since I spent a weekday afternoon at home, but here I am! Captain Jason decided let the POI guys out for Friday afternoon as there was nothing left to do in the office for this week. Wonderfully liberating feeling despite the fact that a few of us felt that we should have been given a full day off instead. Nevertheless, I'm back home, and I can't really complain.

Today's MRT ride home was really interesting. There was this couple standing at the middle of the train carriage. The guy was looking kinda twitchy for some reason. When the train reached Outram Park Station, the guy suddenly went on his knees and proposed to his girlfriend!

(girls insert "Oh My God, awww...")
(guys insert " Eh spoil market sia that guy!")

Then he started his 'speech', which was so loud that the whole carriage could hear him. Apparently, he had first met her on the MRT at that exact station 10 years ago. Thus, the choice of place for him to propose to her. Then he started telling her how great she was, how much she meant to him and alot of really sweet things.

On hearing all this, some girl next to the couple started crying. Anti-climax, even the guy's girlfriend was quite steady. Ah well, by the time she accepted his proposal it was Tanjong Pagar already. All of us in the carriage started clapping, drawing stares from clueless commuters in the other carriages.

Damn, doesn't this kind of things happen only in movies?
Lucky girl.
