holla

Career Day was quite interesting. I was allocated Mindef, SPF and Pilot. University talks were NUS FASS and SMU.

Mindef was quite funny. The 3 Captains from the respective forces were really candid in their presentations. The Captain from the Air Force really captured the attention of the audience when he kept on relating DOTA and the Air Force. Even a non-DOTA player like me could get his sarcasm and wit. Local Study Award is quite interesting. 4 year bond and your tertiary education is paid for. Why not? Free education and also 4 years worth of experience. The only issue is that I have to get into OCS. With my shin... I am not that hopeful.

SPF was interesting as well. Though the only thing I brought out of that room was that you'll only climb high if you're a scholar. A degree in Political Sciences would not really be THAT useful in the Police, even though there is some use for it. I guess it's not really a career choice that I am going to look at now. Maybe if I am posted to the Police for NS, things may change. Who knows?

Pilot. My oh my. This talk was just a talk-cock session. The pilot was full of crap. Really. They did talk about the career and stuff, but most of the time was spent laughing away at the pilot's stone face while he actually joked. My god, his straight face was really amazing la. Definately the most fun session out of the 3.

NUS FASS. Okay, quite an eye opener. Didn't know FASS covered such a wide spectrum. SMU was quite tosh. I didn't like the presenter. Woman seemed quite arrogant. Hohum!
