Sports carnival was just plain boring. It was a good feeling to have the word 'Victorian' on my back again though. Spent the whole day walking through the different game stations as I did not sign up for any of them. Random conversations with random people, jibes at random players all around. Best part of the day was Amanda's look on the face when she heard Jon Lauw saying that he was going to try to play netball. Priceless that one.
Lunch @ Prata Cafe was decent. The prata wasn't really that great, actually, it wasn't even great at all. Just normal prata that you could find in every neighbourhood Kopitiam. The nasi briyani was quite good, albeit the fact that the spicy curry was a major turn off. Class guys went to play LAN, while i joined the VS-VJ boys in supporting VJ for their semi- final match against RJ. My jersey name allowed me to fit into the VJ contingent perfectly. Met the noisy gang of Waseem and Co. With these loonies the match was more like a comedy. Amos joined the gang later. Crazy moments like Waseem asking the VJ councillors to cheer Hazrin on with a 'Hazrin Boleh' instead of the councillor's intention of a 'Hazrin Jiayou' cause he's malay.
Pity the boys in yellow lost. Penalties, oh well, it's always a game of chance once you reach that stage. But the dejected look on the faces of Charles and all the former VS boys who are in the VJ team was quite a difficult sight to swallow. My heart really went out to those boys who've been training their hearts out for the past 1 year or so. It kinda brought back memories of campcraft when after 8months of 6-day week training schedules we were cruelly handed the 7th placing. Guess now it's all about taking back what you've learnt from the entire experience and moving on to become a better person.
SA lost to MJ in another penalty shootout to book their place in the finals. If you ask me, I would hope for a RJ victory. Funny how I didn't manage to spot neither Fiona nor Zhi Rong at both matches. Small world.
Guess overall it was a great day. Meeting the VS boys from VJ, MJ and SA was great. As always, never fails to put a smile on my face. In true VS style...
