holla
Ah yes, term holidays are here. 1 week pales in contrast to the poly counterparts, but hey, at least I have 1 week. Term 1 has gone in a flash, the new JC1 cohort is also in, CTs have been terrible and holidays just welcome term 2. Not a very nice thought, but reality bites.
The last day of school was uncharacteristically normal. There was no term end feeling in the air. The only thing that echoed around the compounds would have been the shrill screams of the new JC1 ladies(maybe guys too). Orientations just remind me of TPJC. It was an orientation where I made so many new friends, many of whom I still keep on contact with till today. Reminisce, with that tinge of sadness.
Stations of The Cross @ Holy Trinity was really amazing. Making my way there was plain amusing. Idiosyncrasies of Singaporeans plain for all to see. Clutching my McD meal, I slowly made my way from TM to church via the footpath/cycling track that parallels the MRT track. Smartly dressed office workers walking on the cycling track and showing displeasure whenever a cyclist rings his bell to alert them of their coming. On the footpath, cyclists who impatiently and irritatingly ring their bells continuously to rudely tell us to make way. Why oh why? There is a footpath and a cycling track, is it really that difficult to use them for their respective purposes? Sometimes I really wonder if education is doing us any good at all.
After a slow and oddly entertaining 20 minute walk(yeah, a couple of old ladies overtook me), church provided a form of silent comfort. Stations has always been an experience for me. Each week, hearing the same old 14 stations, yet each station brings to mind a memory related to the readings. Every week, I remember something new, be it a memory from the past or a recent one. Reflecting on it as the celebrant continues reading, I find solace that such times do actually allow me to grasp my faults instead of losing them to oblivion.
Hello Holidays.

Just like Man Utd was lucky in Anfield, each team has it's lucky star. But at least Liverpool played quite well, hit the post twice!
