Day started off quite early. It was quite a challenge to go all the way to Depot Road... without actually knowing where the place is! All I knew was that I had to get off at Tiong Bahru MRT and take the service 195 across Tiong Bahru Complex. Amazing. The bus directory did not even have CPMB in it's list of stops. So it was a mad ride of glancing left and right every few seconds to make sure I did not miss the stop. After I found the place and got off, I kinda realised that there were a few others in the bus finding for the exact place also. The totally lost look on their face was priceless. So I decided to just play it cool and act nonchalant. I should really win an Oscar.
At the gate the serviceman was like...
"Have you been here before? Most of the guys who come here are blur and everything, but you stroll in as though you know the place well."
And I can't help but act like some drama mama...
"Nah, first time.. But the place just feels like home to me. The army's in my blood"
I tried to pull off that cool Tom Cruise aka Maverick in the movie Top Gun kinda thing. The guy looked damn surprised at my answer and gave me that grin. Damn good feeling. Woooo...
Medical Examination was okay. Didn't get busted for my long fringe. I'm perfectly alright, which means the chances of me dropping dead anytime soon is quite low. Damn. Other than the incident of my bag strap getting caught in another person's locker, it was smooth sailing.
And yes, I am in PES A! For all those who don't know what it means, it simply means I am the fittest of the fittest in the Army. On the world scale, I am just as good as a US Marine, the US Delta Force, the guys from Sandhurst Academy and the British Gurkhas. ( Okay, that was all pure tosh... I'll be happy to even come close to those guys ). But yeah, I am fit. Got to try to become fitter and if possible, OCS.
C'mon... NS is so much more exciting than the A Level!
