holla
Well, it's been a rather eventful weekend, or well, Saturday at least. Fast forward from Friday which was rather uneventful. Well, unless you include the chemistry test. It looked like a Higher Chinese paper to me. Like wow-s and gasps at every single question. Though it was overshadowed by the sense of achievement when i got a question or 2 of which i knew the answer. Then again, it just highlighted the need to strengthen my JC1 foundation. Urgh
Saturday was really packed. Woke up early and headed off to OLPS for winnie's brother's wedding. The wedding mass was somehow quite short. Reception was quite good though. Cheesecake was godsent. We then headed off to Holy Family for Steven's and Joyce's wedding. Choir alumni. Got to know Steven through our choir soccer sessions, and now he's married too. Didn't go for his reception as I had to rush home for lunch. Father Val was saying that Steven and Joyce have been together for like 10+ years. If you've been together for that long, marraige is just like a natural progression.
Somehow weddings just make you think. It's just about finding that One person who will walk with you for the rest of your life. Most people say the lucky ones get it right the first time. First love and you've found the One. Well, if you ask me, as long as you find the One, I would consider you lucky already.
Then again, how do you exactly define the One?
Is it that one person who's so like you. The one who seems to be your alter ego. Your joy is the other person's joy. Your sadness is the other's sadness. Somehow you 2 have the same tastes in music, food, fashion etc. You have the same views on certain issues and tend to agree on almost every other thing. It's like looking into the mirror and seeing yourself there.
or
Is it that person whose differences just makes her more appealing. A breath of fresh air. You see the world from her point, something you yourself never considered. You begin to notice things that you were oblivious to, the wonders that you're turned a blind eye to all your life. You learn to appreciate music that you never listened to, stick your tongue into dishes that you never once considered trying and you see the beauty of things that you once termed as ugly. Through arguments you learn more about each other and embrace your diversities. You don't have to agree on everything to be happy in each other's company. She makes you smile and gives you a reality check when you need one. All in all, she just makes you a better and more complete person.
Naturally, i'll pick the latter. Oh well...
Overnight studying with the boys was interesting (and tiring). Learnt quite abit from Willis. It was a new experience. Despite it's productivity, I'm not too sure if I'm up for it again. I am still quite tired and I am afraid to ruin my body clock. It was great seeing the boys again though we didn't talk much. I lasted till 4am, then started getting all my math sums wrong and realised that my batteries were dead. Next Saturday? We'll see about it.
Think I'll blog again on Wednesday i think?
Here comes a whole new week of school at CJ.
Darn.
