holla
today my dad read the papers and gleefully pointed out an article to me..
Sports School Whips Victoria 9-0...
well..
those who didnt know, VS made it to the C div soccer finals..
and met the almighty SPORTS SCHOOL...
so yeah...
they lost by a big margin..
im still proud that the boys made it that far..
BUT
what im not happy about is how the DAMNED straits times reported it..
yes, VS lost by a big margin..
but for f***s sake, its to the Sports School!
THEY ARE MADE TO PRODUCE THE NATION'S TOP SPORTSMEN
its understandable that they won by such a scoreline..
and yet, the words used in the article was totally wrong..
whipped and all that..
c'mon, vs is known for being an all rounded school..
excels in both sports and education..
yet our main focus has always been education..
sports is just secondary to that..
AND CONSIDERING THAT FACT
it is amazing that we made it to the C Division finals..
these boys have to juggle school work, and mind you it's VS..
not some ordinary singapore school...
the first thing i replied to my dad's mockery...
"where's st pats? Dont study, cant even play to reach the finals.. wanna talk somemore.."
he had no reply to that...
throw VS guys a ball, we beat all the other secondary schools..
and reach the final...
we train AFTER school, after one hectic day of school..
sports school, they train daily...
they have special timetables, and train more than they study..
WHERE'S THE GOD DAMNED EVEN PLAYING SURFACE...
throw my vs boys an academic paper, they will freaking whoop the sports school boys..
test their leadership, they will make the sports school boys look like losers...
saying all these, im not taking away anything from the sports school boys..
you were given the chance to do these sporting stuff..
you made use of the opportunity, and showed that you indeed excel..
kudos to you all..
BUT F*** THE STRAITS TIMES..
where the heck was the article when VS won back to back cross country double titles?
we excel in arts, we get gold or gold for honours in every damn SYF..
silver is practically a disgrace and even unheard of in VS...
i've nothing against the sports school..
it's just the way Straits Times reported the match..
Anyway, A Victorian is always a Professional, a Sportsman and a Gentleman.
We accept defeat, but i believe the team will continue to grow stronger..
Congrats to the VS C division players'06, proud of you victorians...
